Some may say, concealer is the best thing since sliced bread. I agree. It is truly a life saver in make up world.

I use concealer to cover up any spots, unwanted blemishes, colour correction for dark circles, scars, you name it. I really think it helps enormously to create that flawless finish.

How I use concealer:

I apply foundation first (I know, most of you apply the concealer first, right?). The way I see it, if you apply concealer first, you are applying a thick layer of product, then whilst applying the foundation on top, you are just going to wipe away the concealer underneath. To rectify that, you then put more concealer or foundation on top of that to actually cover the spot. You are building up more and more product which then looks cakey, it becomes more noticeable.

Applying foundation first will provide that initial coverage. It normally takes most of the redness out of the troubled area. I then apply the concealer, using a damp beauty blender sponge I blend out the concealer using tapping motions. To set the concealer, I normally use a translucent powder by Mac Cosmetics using a flat concealer brush.
