Gym Make Up Routine

 

If people know me, they know that I’m quite into going to the gym. I also get asked, do you wear make up to the gym? Well… I like to think I wear no make up, make up. If that makes sense. I mean, what if you see a cute guy, you can’t be a red faced, sweaty mess right? 

So, I will talk through the simple products I use to ensure I don’t look absolutely vile in the gym. 

1. Brows. 

One cannot simply enter the gym without brows. I tend to use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in the shade Medium Brown applied with the number 15 angled brush from Anastasia Beverly Hills. 

2. Concealer

I don’t use foundation for the gym, it gets very heavy if you are one for sweating whilst doing cardio. I apply the Nars Creamy Concealer in the shade Custard in the T zone, around my nose and on my chin. These are the areas I tend to get blotchy, which I like to cover up. It is also the area where I like the most coverage whilst doing my make up anyway. I blend the concealer out using a beauty blender or the real techniques orange sponge. 

3. Mascara

I apply mascara to the tops and bottom of my lashes. This just makes your eyes appear bigger and brighter. Handy for morning gym sessions. Might be worth using waterproof mascara for the gym though…

4. Bronzer / Blusher

I like to give a bit of definition to my face so I like to contour slightly on my nose and underneath my cheek bones. Gym lighting is just awful…I use the Mac Cosmetics Mineralise Skin Finish in the shade Medium Deep. For blusher, I use Warm Soul by Mac Cosmetics. 

5. Lip Balm

Finally, I don’t like to leave my lips out so I like to wear a bit of lip balm, especially in this cold weather. I normally use the Cherry flavoured Carmex. Fave.
