Taking care of your Make Up!

Over the last couple of years, I’ve learnt some tips and tricks on how to take care of the make up I do have. Now, I’m going to pass it on to you guys!

Make Up Sell by Date

Not a lot of people know this but on each cosmetic product whether it be make up, hair products, or skincare, they have an expiry date.

This symbol is shown on a product normally found at the back. The letter ‘M’ stands for month and the number before the letter stands for the amount of months you should use the product within once opened.

When you open products such as concealers, foundations, eyebrow pomades, the air hits the make up formula and certain ingredients start to oxidise and degrade.

Lifespan of Make Up

Typical products:

Liquid Foundation / 6 months
Mascara / 3 months
Eyeliner / 3 months
Eyeshadows / 2 years
Lipstick / 2 years

Dried Out Products

Do you have any cream based products such as Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade? Have you found that it can dry out quite quickly if you leave the lid off for too long? Well, I’ve discovered a certain product that can revitalise the product within a matter of seconds.

I use the INGLOT DURALINE Liquid Restorer. You can use it for all sorts of products whether it be for eyebrow products, to intensify eyeshadow colours or make it water resistant. I normally buy this off EBAY.
